Max Factory, a Japanese figure manufacturer, has announced the latest product from its popular "figma" action figure series: the "figma Solid Snake MGS2 ver. Update Edition," based on the super popular game software "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty." It has a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in October 2025.
The video game "Metal Gear Solid" (Metal Gear Solid/Special Operations Spy), published by KONAMI and created by Hideo Kojima, saw its first title released on the PlayStation platform in 1998. With its extremely hardcore story setting and rich, varied elements (including unique humorous gameplay that lightens the serious and heavy atmosphere), it received enthusiastic support from players worldwide, establishing the "Metal Gear Solid" series and becoming a classic espionage stealth action game masterpiece that influenced future generations of the gaming industry.
