Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY's 'Nendoroid' series, which features over a thousand characters, has launched a new product line based on 'Garfield' – the 'Garfield' articulated figure. The suggested retail price is 7,700 JPY, and it is expected to be released in September 2025!
'Garfield' is a comic strip created by Jim Davis in 1978, focusing on the amusing daily lives of the protagonist Garfield, his owner Jon Arbuckle, and their friends, highlighting the theme that sometimes pets are actually the bosses of the house. Over the past five decades, 'Garfield' has undergone numerous adaptations, including animated series and live-action films. This year, the brand new movie 'The Garfield Movie' achieved a box office success of 232 million USD!
This Nendoroid Garfield stands approximately 10 cm tall. The Nendoroid's cute proportions perfectly match Garfield's design, recreating the plump figure of this food-loving orange cat. The eyes and mouth are interchangeable parts, allowing for various combinations to reproduce his lively expressions from the series! Accessories include a coffee cup, a lasagna plate, and a TV remote control – items Garfield uses in his daily life – which can be arranged to recreate his lazy demeanor at home!
