Megahouse, a Japanese toy company, is releasing a new product in its high-end "MAXIMUM" series under the "Portrait.Of.Pirates" (P.O.P) powerful figure brand, themed after "One Piece"—the "Marco the Phoenix" pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 37,400 JPY, with an estimated release in early September 2025!
Marco the Phoenix is the ship doctor of the Whitebeard Pirates and also the captain of the 1st Division. He possesses the "Tori Tori no Mi, Mythical Zoan, Phoenix Model" Devil Fruit, allowing him to transform into a phoenix engulfed in blue flames. These flames can regenerate and heal his own and others' wounds. After the Payback War between the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates and the Blackbeard Pirates, Marco chose to become a doctor in Whitebeard's hometown, Sphinx.
This Marco the Phoenix figure stands approximately 31.5 cm tall. It is based on the "P.O.P MAS Marco the Phoenix" released in the MAS series 10 years ago, now re-evolved with the highest quality of the MAXIMUM series. It captures Marco in a dynamic forward-charging pose with his abilities activated. The sculpting details showcase the wings extending from his human torso to his arms, and the phoenix talons on his legs. The phoenix tail, crafted from translucent colored material, extends from his lower back, adding a strong sense of dynamism to the overall piece. The flame effects surrounding his body also exude immense power!
For the paintwork, the translucent colored material of the wings is airbrushed to create a gradient effect, depicting the transformation from nothingness to full form. The base's rocks also feature an orange-blue gradient, simulating the lighting effect of flames burning nearby. Orange-yellow hues are also partially applied to the wings, creating a rich color palette and stunning sculpt that gives this piece a magnificent aura surpassing the version from 10 years ago!
