Japan's FuRyu company, under its popular prize figure "Noodle Stopper Figure" (ぬーどるストッパーフィギュア) series, announced on its official X account a new product based on the popular manga "SAKAMOTO DAYS," which is soon to be animated – the "Sakamoto Taro" Noodle Stopper Figure. It is scheduled for release as a prize item in June 2025!
"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is a work by manga artist Yuto Suzuki, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since 2020. It is set to be adapted into a TV anime by TMS Entertainment in January 2025. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, once the strongest assassin, who, after retiring, getting married, having children, and becoming an overweight middle-aged man, is targeted by his former assassin organization. He then teams up with a junior who came to persuade him, to fight back against the organization.
This time, FuRyu has created Sakamoto as a popular Noodle Stopper Figure, depicting him in a seated pose, wearing a yellow T-shirt and a green apron, holding a Nissin Cup Noodle. The figure faithfully recreates his rounded, overweight physique after his retirement, with sculpted arm muscles and various clothing wrinkles from his seated posture. His silent gaze forward appears flawless. With the strongest assassin guarding your noodles, toy enthusiasts can surely enjoy their instant noodles with peace of mind!
