The character's backstory is a tragic one: once a beloved circus star, Horror Bear was brutally murdered by jealous fellow performers. However, a demon later possessed its body, bringing it back to life. Despite the dark origins, sources indicate the film will not be as grim or terrifying as "Five Nights at Freddy's," with Universal aiming for a family-friendly blockbuster.
