Hong Kong toy brand threezero's 1/6 scale articulated figure series 'FigZero' has announced the second product from 'Denkou Choujin Gridman', 'Gridman Sigma', scheduled for release in Q2 2025.
Gridman Sigma (∑) only appeared in the magazine-serialized illustrated sequel 'Denkou Choujin Gridman: The Demon King's Counterattack'. In the story, the monsters controlled by the new Demon King 'NEO Kahn Digifer' put Gridman in a tough battle. At this moment, the new hero Gridman Sigma appeared to rescue him, and the two joined forces to fight against the new threat. Gridman Sigma is set as Gridman's younger brother, and the one who merges with Gridman Sigma is Takeshi Todo, the villain who once created countless monsters. After accepting the friendship of Naoto Sho and others, he reformed and became an ally of justice.
'FigZero Gridman Sigma' continues the design style of the previous '>Gridman, featuring a substantial 30 cm height and no less than 38 points of articulation. The entire body sculpt uses plastic to recreate the distinct head sculpt different from Gridman, and metallic silver armor. The torso is made with a specially coated, durable and elastic fabric, which covers the joints and mimics the texture of the in-show suit. Furthermore, the head and chest also incorporate LED light-up mechanisms, allowing for a more accurate representation of the character's glowing eyes in the series.
Accessories include 3 pairs of interchangeable hands to recreate signature poses for beam attacks such as 'Gridman Sigma Beam' and 'Repair Beam', as well as weapons identical in design to Gridman's, such as the Ion Sword and Barrier Shield. Since Sigma in the original work did not use these two weapons, the FigZero version features newly designed original color schemes to match Sigma's body colors. Both weapons also retain the mechanism to combine into the 'Thunderclap Sword Gridman Calibur' and 'Thunder Axe'.
