Last month, Blake Lively reignited a new wave of controversy surrounding the film "It Ends with Us," filing a lawsuit against director and co-star Justin Baldoni (pictured right). Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, orchestrating a media manipulation campaign through a PR firm, spreading false rumors, and maliciously attempting to destroy her image. Following the holiday season, Lively has now filed a more formal lawsuit, seeking compensation from Baldoni, his hired public relations firm, and his production company Wayfarer Studios for months of career losses and emotional distress. These alleged career losses include lost job opportunities and the struggling sales of her personal hair care brand, Blake Brown, which had just launched.

Baldoni's camp, however, is not taking the accusations lightly. Hours before the New Year, they formally filed a lawsuit against The New York Times, seeking a staggering $250 million in damages. Baldoni's team claims that the newspaper, which recently published extensive details about the case, clearly sided with Lively, accepting her one-sided information and statements, and then selectively distorted the facts.
Baldoni further alleges that because he, Lively, and Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, are all represented by the same agency, WME, Reynolds leveraged this connection to pressure WME into terminating Baldoni's contract. WME has since denied this accusation.
