South Korean high-quality statue manufacturer JND Studios has launched a new product based on the sequel to the phenomenal TV series "Squid Game 2" – the "Seong Gi-hun" 1/3 scale collectible statue. With a suggested retail price of US$2,299, it is now available for pre-order on their official website and is expected to ship in Q2 2026!
The story of "Squid Game" follows 456 impoverished players, desperate due to debt, who are invited to participate in a deadly children's game where only the sole winner can claim the 45.6 billion Korean Won grand prize. The second season's story picks up from the end of the first season, with protagonist Seong Gi-hun determined to find the mastermind behind the game and put an end to this inhumane killing game. However, he unexpectedly finds himself back in the game, attempting to uncover the truth behind it little by little.
This Seong Gi-hun 1/3 scale collectible statue stands approximately 66 cm tall. It utilizes silicone material and hair implantation technology to hyperrealistically recreate actor Lee Jung-jae's iconic facial features. Details such as fine lines around the eyes and skin texture are meticulously crafted, exquisitely reproducing Seong Gi-hun's worn and haggard appearance from the second season! For the attire, fabric materials are used to create the green tracksuit and white casual shoes worn by the players, complete with the number 456 patch on the left chest and back, and a red "X" patch on the right chest, signifying not continuing the game. The base features the iconic pink maze-like staircase platform from the series, with a square staff mask attached to the side, comprehensively showcasing "Squid Game"'s unique violent aesthetics and its chilling atmosphere!
