Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced that its latest plastic model kit, "Goldran Gold Plated ver. (tentative name)," from "The Brave of Gold Goldran," part of their "Brave Series" anime-themed lineup, will soon be available for pre-order.
The main character in the series, Gold Swordsman Dran, is a polite, transforming brave robot that can change into a car form. He can summon the Gold Dragon and perform "Gold Combination" with it to become the even larger Goldran, using his Japanese sword weapon "Super Dragon Fang Sword" to unleash his finishing move, "One-Strike Two-Halves Slash."
Sample images for the "Goldran Plated ver." have now been released. The kit is a modification of the previously released standard version. It can be seen that, apart from the easily scratched joint parts, almost all of Goldran's exterior armor is made with gold-plated parts. The chest jewel part has also been changed to clear red molding, reproducing the texture of gold and the "Power Stone" from the original design.
