The world-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys recently announced a new product from the sci-fi epic Star Wars-themed video game Star Wars: The Old Republic – the "Darth Malgus" 1/6th scale collectible figure! It is expected to ship from Q1 to Q2 2026, with a suggested retail price of HK$1,930.
Darth Malgus, originally named Veradun, was born on the Sith Empire planet Dromund Kass in 3700 BBY. Malgus is a battle-hardened Sith Lord, possessing both superb lightsaber skills and military strategy. Throughout the long war between the Sith Empire and the Republic, Malgus consistently achieved victory; even when facing defeat and severe injury, Malgus always transformed his immense rage into a source of power, growing ever stronger.
This figure stands approximately 34 cm tall and features 30 points of articulation throughout its body. Crafted according to the Star Wars: The Old Republic game design, it recreates Malgus's imposing physique and battle armor. The hand-sculpted and painted head sculpt fully captures his pale face, covered with veins and scars, and features articulated yellow eyes. The LED light-up life support respirator can also be removed, further enhancing the versatility of his fierce expressions.
The battle armor is exceptionally well-rendered, featuring rich layering created by the nylon bodysuit and outer black armor, abundant details on the chest control panel and forearm armor, striking shoulder pads, as well as a detachable black hooded cape and leg armor that conveys a heavy metallic feel. It perfectly conveys the intimidating presence of this Sith General! Accessories include Malgus's red lightsaber (with light-up function), a red lightsaber blade in motion, Force lightning effects, multiple interchangeable hands, and a cool display base.
