Shanghai-based collectible brand Infinity Studio recently announced its latest product from the 1987 sci-fi action film "Robocop": the "Robocop" 1/2 scale full body statue! Both a regular version and a deluxe version will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping start date in Q4 2025. The suggested retail prices are 17,588 and 20,588 RMB, respectively.
The story of "Robocop" is set in the near future, in a chaotic and crime-ridden Detroit (also referred to as "hell" by characters in the film). The protagonist is "Murphy," a male police officer who has just been transferred to Detroit. However, Murphy is brutally murdered while infiltrating a criminal hideout with his partner. Afterward, Murphy's remains are recovered by the mega-corporation "Omni Consumer Products (OCP)" and transformed into a half-human, half-machine "Robocop." Due to lingering memories from his time as Murphy, he still performs his signature move of twirling his gun before holstering it into the side of his right thigh.
This piece stands approximately 112 cm tall and is crafted from composite materials such as polystone, resin, and platinum silicone. In addition to showcasing realistic skin texture and a resolute, cool expression on the lower half of the face, Robocop's full body armor features an automotive-grade painting technique. This not only achieves a mirror-like smooth, high-quality texture but also displays different colors under varying lighting conditions, enhancing its futuristic appeal. Furthermore, various classic Robocop poses can be achieved through interchangeable parts.
▼ According to the official website, the deluxe version (Premium Version) will feature movable mechanical power structures in the legs, allowing it to move just like in the movie – how cool is that!
