SEGA PRIZE, a prize game division under Japanese game company SEGA, will release a new Spider-Man themed product from MARVEL comics this January: the “ACT/CUT Premium Figure Spider-Man 2099”! Its intense dynamism is incredibly cool.
In the MARVEL comics' lore, Spider-Man 2099's original name is Miguel O'Hara, an outstanding geneticist living in New York in the year 2099, in the parallel world Earth-928. During an accident, half of Miguel's DNA was rewritten with a spider's genetic code. He not only survived but also gained spider-like superpowers as a result.
This three-dimensional rendition of “Spider-Man 2099,” measuring 22 × 11 cm, can be said to be the character that best embodies the ACT/CUT series' emphasis on dynamism. It presents an exceptionally dynamic pose, as if swinging out from the comic world. In addition to his extended left hand firing a web, the web-cape on his back is also splendidly rendered. Coupled with the beautiful metallic sheen of his blue and red suit, the large spider emblem on his chest, and the sculpted muscle lines throughout his body, it's truly incredibly cool.
