Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA), a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest product in its beautiful girl plastic model series, "ARCANADEA," which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements, "Elmida," is scheduled for release in June 2025.
"ARCANADEA" is a plastic model series with a sci-fi and fantasy theme. Its world is set in the near future, where Eden Industries uses the newly discovered next-generation energy "Arcana Particles" to create the popular virtual space server "Eden." Among these, the fantasy-style Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online (VRMMO) game "ARCANADEA" enjoys immense popularity.
However, one day, a strange explosion occurred at Eden Industries, scattering "Arcana Crystals" that brought immense disaster to the world. These crystals not only caused frequent anomalies worldwide but also brought unknown life forms from another world with incredible powers, known as "DEARS." These "DEARS," resembling fantasy creatures, include individuals that harm humans and those that can coexist with them. Therefore, Eden Industries began recruiting "DEAR MASTERS" to work with harmless DEARS to recover the Arcana Crystals.
Designed by Japanese illustrator necömi, the new angel-type DEARS character, Elmida, is a gentle, all-embracing big sister who allows anyone to dote on her. While she appears mild and quiet normally, she is quite astute and reliable in critical moments, and terrifying once angered. As one of the "Seven Sword Saints," she possesses considerable power, yet she is completely directionally challenged.
Once completed, the "ARCANADEA Elmida" kit stands approximately 18.5 cm tall. It utilizes multi-color molded parts and some pre-painted parts to recreate her voluptuous figure and costume colors. It also includes four pre-printed face parts, multiple hand gestures, and even water-slide decals with various facial features for custom expressions.
By swapping parts, Elmida can transform from her normal mode into her armed mode, clad in armor, with large wings deployed, and wielding a bow. The body features double joints, pull-out joints, and a movable skirt, allowing for flexible articulation. Her back hair parts and the two pairs of wings on her back also have movable axes, enabling a wide range of cute poses and cool, bow-drawing combat stances!
