Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed Again to March, Dodging Monster Hunter Wilds' February Launch

Originally slated for a November 2024 release, "Assassin's Creed Shadows," the fourteenth installment in the long-running series, was first pushed to February 15, 2025, by Ubisoft, which cited the need to ensure the game's quality and player experience.

However, in a surprising move just over a month from its revised release date, the publisher has announced another delay, pushing the launch to March 20, 2025.

This marks the second time "Assassin's Creed Shadows" has been postponed. The official reason remains a commitment to achieving higher game quality and a deeper immersive experience, necessitating an additional month of development. Ubisoft also stated that this extra time will be used to integrate player feedback from the past three months, helping the development team ensure the game is in its best possible state at launch.

Although Ubisoft's announcement offered no further explanation, the new timing strategically avoids the launch-window buzz for Capcom's "Monster Hunter Wilds," which is scheduled to release on February 28, 2025. From that perspective, the delay might not be a bad thing for Ubisoft.
