PCS "RoboCop" ED-209 1/3 Scale Statue: The Bipedal Enforcement Droid with Heavy Firepower, Realized in 87 cm!

American-style collectible manufacturer Premium Collectibles Studio (PCS) recently unveiled a new product from the 1987 film "RoboCop," the "ED-209" 1/3 scale statue, which is now available for pre-order at PCS. Shipping is expected to begin in Q4 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$3,100, limited to 150 units.

The story of "RoboCop" is set in the near future, in a Detroit (also referred to as hell by characters in the film) plagued by rampant crime and unrest. The protagonist is male police officer "Murphy," who has just been transferred to Detroit. However, Murphy is brutally murdered while venturing into a criminal hideout with his partner. Afterward, Murphy's remains are recovered by the mega-corporation "Omni Consumer Products (OCP)" and transformed into a cyborg police officer; because some memories from his time as Murphy still linger, RoboCop continues to perform Murphy's signature move of twirling his gun before holstering it on his right thigh.

This ED-209, whose full name is Enforcement Droid Series 209, is a bipedal enforcement robot developed under the leadership of Dick Jones at Omni Consumer Products. During a meeting to demonstrate ED-209's capabilities, Jones asked Kinney to simulate an arrest scenario, pointing a gun at ED-209. Although Kinney immediately dropped the gun after ED-209's warning, due to a malfunction, ED-209 still perceived Kinney as holding a gun and, after the countdown, obliterated Kinney with powerful firepower. This incident led to the ED-209 project being shelved, and Bob Morton seized the opportunity to propose the RoboCop project to the president.

▼ This is definitely one of the most dangerous workplaces in history!

This 1/3 large-scale 3D rendition of ED-209 stands approximately 87 cm tall, fully recreating the imposing appearance of this bipedal machine's debut in the office. It captures the intimidating posture of ED-209 with its arm weapons raised. The most impressive aspects of this piece are undoubtedly the intricate detailing of ED-209's full armor and integrated weaponry, as well as the meticulously reproduced unit numbering based on the film's settings. The exposed wires, the texture of the body casing, and the metallic parts are all exceptionally well-rendered. Coupled with a base designed with the Omni Consumer Products company logo as its theme, the overall piece instantly transports one back to that terrifying office where lives were lost.
