As the "Osaka-Kansai Expo (大阪・関西万博)" is set to commence in mid-April 2025, toy enthusiasts currently traveling in Japan must be keenly aware of "Myaku-Myaku merchandise being visible everywhere." The renowned Japanese toy manufacturer MEDICOM TOY's highly sought-after collectible series "BE@RBRICK," which attracts numerous trendsetters, will also release 100% and 400% sizes of "Myaku-Myaku" (ミャクミャク) this January! The suggested retail prices are 2,200 and 16,500 JPY (tax included), respectively.

Designed by Japanese designer Kohei Yamashita, who is active in graphic and character design, EXPO 2025 mascot "Myaku-Myaku" is a friendly but somewhat clumsy mysterious creature born from a small spring in Kansai. Its true form is unknown; the red parts on its body are cells that divide and multiply, while the blue parts are pure water that can transform into various forms. Myaku-Myaku is currently on a journey to find its ideal self and has temporarily taken on a humanoid form. Myaku-Myaku not only echoes Osaka's prominent characteristic as a city of water but also showcases a rich variety of cute appearances due to its lack of a fixed form.
Since Myaku-Myaku has no fixed form, its transformation into the popular BE@RBRICK design must surely be a response to the wishes of many trendsetting collectors! The two specifications debuting simultaneously show no significant difference in their front exterior design; both feature a blue main tone representing pure water, with red cellular paint applied to the head. However, turning to the back, the 400% version is slightly more elaborate, featuring the main visual graphic of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
