Released on January 30, 2024, the DC Comics adaptation "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" ultimately failed to meet player expectations due to its gameplay experience and an unpalatable story, among other factors. The game received its final update this January, delivering on its previously promised offline mode. Concurrently, it was also added to the PS Plus "free games of the month" lineup.
Beyond these known updates, developer Rocksteady Studios also released a two-minute comic for "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League," intended to expand upon the game's controversial original ending. However, this additional narrative content did not appease players; instead, it further enraged them.

Players familiar with the game know that "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League"'s story primarily revolves around the Task Force's mission to eliminate Justice League members controlled by Brainiac. One of the most shocking moments depicted Harley Quinn shooting Batman, killing him instantly.
While this scene sparked player dissatisfaction shortly after the game's release, Rocksteady Studios' newly added comic reveals that the Batman shot by Harley Quinn was not the original, but rather a clone created by Brainiac. The real Batman, still alive, was reportedly hiding and secretly planning to defeat the ultimate villain.
Naturally, this "supplementary ending" did not placate players; instead, it further inflamed DC fans. Many felt it was a forced, illogical conclusion stemming from poor storytelling, suggesting the developers were avoiding the core issue of a weak narrative by introducing a clone. Some even expressed that the entire game's mission now felt like a wasted effort.
