American toy manufacturer JAKKS Pacific, which holds numerous game and film/television IP licenses, recently unveiled a new product based on the classic adult animated sitcom "The Simpsons" – the "Krusty Burger" 2.5-inch scale playset. The suggested retail price is US$26.99, with an estimated release in February 2025!
The "Krusty Burger" (also translated as Kùsītí Burger) first appeared in Season 2, Episode 21, "Three Men and a Comic Book." It is a chain burger restaurant owned by Krusty the Clown (also known as Krusty, or Clown Kùsītí, Sideshow Raheem), the host of Bart and Lisa's favorite TV show. Its branches are spread throughout Springfield, and it's a frequent haunt for the characters, though it often faces sanitation issues.
This Krusty Burger playset, scaled to accommodate 2.5-inch articulated figures, recreates the Krusty Burger restaurant scene using printed stickers and simple modular parts. Inside, there's a cash register printed with a menu and staff, and on the other side, a seating area with a stack of burgers on the table. The exterior features a sign with Krusty the Clown's portrait, along with an ordering kiosk and a drive-thru. It can be combined with previously released "The Simpsons" 2.5-inch articulated figures and the included Krusty the Clown figure in overalls to recreate various scenes from the show!
