Japan's super popular "Chiikawa" official online store, "Chiikawa Market," has announced its latest product based on a traditional Japanese festival: "Setsubun!! Chiikawa Plush Mascot." There are three types, with a reference price of 1,870 JPY each, scheduled for release in January 2025!
The "Setsubun!! Chiikawa Plush Mascot" is themed after the Japanese festival "Setsubun (the day before Risshun/the beginning of spring)." It features the three main characters of "Chiikawa": Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi, dressed in special festival outfits – playing super cute oni (鬼おに). Can you bear to throw beans at them? The fur on their heads comes in three colors – pink, blue, and yellow – corresponding to each character's features, and their adorable little oni horns are simply irresistible. Furthermore, Chiikawa and Hachiware are holding roasted soybeans, ready to ward off bad luck and welcome good fortune. Usagi even has an Ehomaki (lucky direction sushi roll) in its mouth, symbolizing strong luck. They look hilarious and cute from every angle!
