The "Mecha Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series, launched by Snap Finger Animation and HEATBOYS in collaboration with Taiwanese illustrator "Grass God," recently unveiled the turtles' arch-nemesis—the "Mecha Shredder" die-cast painted action figure—following the four turtle brothers. It has a suggested retail price of US$179.99 and is scheduled for release in Q2 2025!
Shredder, the leader of the Foot Clan soldiers, first appeared alongside the turtle brothers in the very first independently published "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" comic by the original creators. His design was inspired by a trapezoidal cheese grater, hence he was given the name "Shredder." The initial concept didn't actually intend for Shredder to be the turtles' long-term main antagonist; it was due to the unprecedented success of the 1987 animated TV series that most subsequent derivative works adopted this setting.
This Mecha Shredder stands approximately 25 cm tall, slightly taller than the turtle brothers. It reimagines Shredder's classic silver, sharp armor design from the original work, integrating mechanical structures. Fully considering the dynamic needs of battle poses, the original body shape is divided into multiple sections, utilizing an innovative articulated structure that boasts a wider range of motion and more complex linkage mechanisms. The cockpit on the chest can be opened to insert the translucent mini Shredder!
Accessories include 6 sets of interchangeable hands and one mutagen potion bottle. Weapons include a potion launcher, a high-frequency chain, a pair of high-frequency cutting arm guards, four sets of ninja grappling claws that can be installed on the arm guards, a spiral shuriken, and two tungsten steel scimitars. Additionally, a wired cape/back armor is included, allowing for posing Mecha Shredder in an overwhelmingly imposing offensive stance, utilizing its flexible articulation and abundant weapon accessories!
