Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY has announced its latest product from "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER," based on a special illustration by Japanese illustrator huke: the "Empress [BLACK ROCK SHOOTER] huke Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure." It has a suggested retail price of 27,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2026!
"BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER" was originally an illustration drawn by Japanese illustrator huke, depicting a black-haired girl with translucent white skin, dressed in black, with blue eyes emitting a blue flame, and holding a massive black cannon in her left hand, capable of firing 20 rocks per second. At the time, ryo, the composer for the then-undebuted doujin music group supercell, was captivated by this artwork and planned a music project for "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER," creating the eponymous song using the virtual singer software "Hatsune Miku." After the MV's release, it received widespread acclaim, subsequently adapted into anime, manga, and games, and GSC also released numerous character figures designed by huke.
The "Empress [BLACK ROCK SHOOTER] huke Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure," crafted with the exquisite skill of sculptor Takayuki Kawahara, is beautifully sculpted to achieve the pinnacle of aesthetic form for BLACK ROCK SHOOTER! With an impressive 42 cm size, it fully showcases intricate sculpting details, depicting hair like a galaxy, with a flowing, dynamic feel enhanced by pearl coating, exuding a mysterious and elegant aura. The blue flames erupting from her slender, fractured limbs and her clear blue wings convey a powerful sense of contrast, while her fiery eyes, imbued with strong will, create a delicate and beautiful worldview!
