Last April, news broke that Jennifer Aniston was developing a remake of the classic 1980 workplace comedy "9 to 5" as a producer for 20th Century Studios, with "Juno" screenwriter Diablo Cody attached to pen the script. Recently, the website World of Reel reported that Aniston has already set her sights on several in-demand, next-generation stars for the project.

World of Reel claims Aniston's top picks include Zendaya, Ariana Grande, and Sydney Sweeney. This trio aligns perfectly with the original film's three leads: Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin. However, securing these busy actresses for a unified shooting schedule presents a significant challenge.

Sources for World of Reel also indicated that Aniston hopes to begin filming next year. The new movie will only receive official approval and move into production from Disney, 20th Century Studios' parent company, if at least one of these three stars commits to joining the cast.
