Japan's model company KAIYODO has been consistently unveiling upcoming product announcements for several days. Today (24th), it once again revealed that "Okarun's Transformed Form" from the hit anime and manga series "Dandadan" will be commercialized under its popular action figure brand REVOLTECH!
"Dandadan" is a shonen manga by Japanese manga artist Yukinobu Tatsu, serialized on Shueisha's "Shonen Jump+" starting in 2021. In 2024, it was adapted into a TV anime by Science SARU. The story follows the female protagonist Momo Ayase, who firmly believes in supernatural phenomena but not aliens, and the male protagonist Ken Takakura, who firmly believes in aliens but not supernatural phenomena. To prove their points to each other, they each venture to designated spooky locations. Unexpectedly, both make astonishing discoveries, embarking on an extraordinary life filled with various occult and supernatural events. Male protagonist Ken Takakura, due to a bet with Momo, ventures alone into a famous haunted tunnel. Unexpectedly, he is cursed by the yokai "Turbo Granny" hidden within the tunnel, who also steals his testicles. After successfully repelling the granny, he makes a deal with her, allowing him to continuously use Turbo Granny's abilities. Momo, displeased that Takakura shares a name with her favorite idol and that Takakura likes occult things, always refers to him as "Okarun." This time, Okarun is set to join the "REVOLTECH" series, an action figure line for fictional characters known for combining exquisite sculpting with ultra-high articulation. It's highly anticipated that REVOLTECH's super articulation will allow for the recreation of his various exaggerated movements from the series!
