Released by Japanese model manufacturer FUJIMI, the plastic model kit series 'CHIBIMARU Godzilla', which presents Toho monsters from the "Godzilla" series in a deformed, chibi-style proportion, has announced its latest product, the "King Ghidorah 70th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Plated Specification," scheduled for release in February 2025. This product is limited to 1000 units.

In the 1991 film "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah," futurians from the 23rd century traveled back to 1954 to prevent Godzilla's birth, aiming to cripple Japan's national power. They also sent three artificial bio-weapons, "Dorats," to the Marshall Islands, where nuclear tests were about to take place. These creatures absorbed radiation and transformed into the ferocious giant monster "King Ghidorah." Their intention was to control it to attack Japan during the 1990s' bubble economy. However, the futurians did not alter the outcome of Godzilla's birth; in fact, Godzilla became even more powerful than before. King Ghidorah was severely wounded and sank into the Sea of Okhotsk.

The "CHIBIMARU King Ghidorah 70th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Plated Specification" kit is a modified version of the previously released standard edition. All golden parts, originally molded in plastic, have been changed to an electroplated finish. This allows King Ghidorah's entire body of scales and both wings to shine with a luxurious golden luster. Additionally, a unique serial number will be printed on the sole of its foot.

Other specifications remain the same as the standard edition. It includes stickers for the inside of the mouth and two types of eye designs. Multiple parts, including the head, tongue, jaw, wings, legs, and tail, feature articulated joints, allowing the three heads to be posed to display various expressions.
