The cast for Christopher Nolan's self-penned Greek epic, "The Odyssey," continues to expand, with several new additions revealed through various media reports.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Benny Safdie (pictured left), who played physicist Edward Teller in Nolan's previous film "Oppenheimer" and co-directed "Uncut Gems," has officially joined the cast. Meanwhile, veteran film journalist Jeff Sneider reported on his blog, The InSneider, that veteran Latino actor John Leguizamo (pictured below) is also part of the lineup.
Deadline also added to the list, announcing that Samantha Morton, Bill Irwin (the voice of the robot TARS in "Interstellar"), and Himesh Patel, who previously worked with Nolan on "Tenet," are also on board.

Another prominent film reporter, Daniel Richtman, revealed on his Patreon page that Elliot Page, who starred in Nolan's "Inception," is not only reuniting with the director for "The Odyssey" but is also being considered for Nolan's next film, which is set to shoot after the epic.
Richtman had reported earlier this month that Nolan is simultaneously developing another movie, with "Oppenheimer" Best Supporting Actor winner Robert Downey Jr. attached to a key role. Page may now be joining that project as well. Coincidentally, World of Reel reported today, citing sources from Production Weekly, that this second, smaller-scale film is tentatively titled "Die Early."

These new additions join an already star-studded ensemble that includes Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong'o. Filming is expected to begin next month, with a worldwide release scheduled for July 17 of next year, landing squarely in Nolan's preferred third-week-of-July release window.
