Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY's DYNAMITE ACTION series of action figures is scheduled to release a REVIVAL version, or Ver.2, of the protagonist robot "Ga-Keen" from the classic robot anime series "Magnerobo Ga-Keen" in April 2025! The price will be 25,080 JPY.
Many fans of classic robot toys will surely be familiar with the line: "Hearts united, bodies entwined, God Dragon and Phoenix combine~". This was a snippet from the Chinese theme song used when TTV broadcasted "Magnerobo Ga-Keen" back in the day. Although many may have long forgotten "Magnerobo Ga-Keen", hearing the lyrics again will undoubtedly stir up long-lost memories. "Magnerobo Ga-Keen" (Japanese original title: マグネロボ ガ・キーン) was produced by Toei Animation and premiered on TV Asahi in September 1976. TTV introduced it in 1987.
The story primarily depicts the Izaru (イザール) aliens, who had been dormant underground, beginning their invasion of Earth. Dr. Kuan (Japanese name: Dr. Mamoru Kazuki), leading the Invincible Research Institute (Earth System Research Institute), secretly developed the God Freedom battleship and the robot Ga-Keen to resist their invasion. To successfully activate Ga-Keen, the doctor not only selected his own daughter, "Kuan Mei-Feng" (Japanese name: Mai Kazuki), but also recruited his friend's son, "Ou-Yang Chun-Lung" (Japanese name: Takeru Hojo), as a pilot. The story unfolds from there.
This DYNAMITE ACTION Ga-Keen action figure from EVOLUTION TOY, standing approximately 17 cm tall, faithfully recreates its appearance from the anime. Its joints are crafted with magnets and iron balls, allowing for easy posing in various action stances. The most impressive feature is Ga-Keen's ability to combine with the accessories of "Plaizer" (プライザー) and "Mighty" (マイティー) to achieve the cool "Ga-Keen Full Power" (ガ・キーン フルパワー) state! Other abundant parts include four sets of interchangeable left and right hand parts, a long sword, a large wheel, a mining drill, and more, making for a truly rich overall package.
