Just days after it was announced that Kaitlyn Dever (pictured below) was in talks to join the third "Godzilla x Kong" team-up film in the MonsterVerse, The Hollywood Reporter (THR) has now revealed that Dan Stevens (pictured above right) will also return to reprise his role as Trapper, the Monarch veterinarian responsible for caring for Kong in the previous installment, "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire."

This untitled "Godzilla x Kong" film will be directed by Grant Sputore, known for "I Am Mother," taking over from Adam Wingard, who helmed the previous two installments. Dave Callaham, co-writer of the 2014 "Godzilla," is also returning to pen the script. The movie is slated for a North American theatrical release on March 26, 2027.
