PLEX Co., Ltd. of Japan, produced by X-PLUS Co., Ltd., has announced the release of a new product in their soft vinyl figure line, 『Large Monster Series』, which features Japanese tokusatsu heroes and monsters. The new item, "ULTRA NEW GENERATION Ultraman Cosmos Luna Mode," from 《Ultraman Cosmos》, is scheduled for release in May 2025. This product will be simultaneously launched in a regular edition and a limited edition sold through official channels.
Ultraman Cosmos, who arrived on Earth from somewhere in the universe, is a Giant of Light possessing gentleness, strength, and courage, a hero who cherishes all life. He desires to create a peaceful world where Earthlings and monsters can coexist, while never forgiving enemies with evil hearts. His initial form, "Luna Mode," embodies Cosmos's gentleness and compassionate heart, allowing him to deflect opponents' fierce attacks with Tai Chi-like martial arts and use the beam technique "Full Moon Rect" to calm rampaging monsters, thereby protecting monsters and resolving conflicts with humans.
"ULTRA NEW GENERATION Ultraman Cosmos Luna Mode" was sculpted by Nobuyuki Inagami, a sculptor who has created numerous outstanding three-dimensional tokusatsu hero works. The figure, approximately 24 cm in height, captures Luna Mode's battle pose that combines both softness and strength, with open palms in a Tai Chi-like stance, reproducing the elegant overall curve design of the suit.
The limited edition, sold through official channels such as 『Shonen RIC』, 『PREMIUM BANDAI』, and 『TSUBURAYA STORE』, adds an LED light-up feature. By connecting the dedicated base to a USB Type-C power supply, both eyes and the Color Timer on the chest will illuminate!
