Following the "40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure" and "40504 A Minifigure Tribute", the Danish LEGO Group has once again launched a classic smiling-face adult minifigure! The 40819 "Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure" is expected to be released on March 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$54.99.

The "Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure" consists of 694 pieces and stands 25 cm tall when assembled. The overall color scheme features Octan's iconic red, green, and white. Compared to the original "40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure," it not only boasts more printed details but also features updated hand structures. It can still rotate its head and arms, and bend its legs to sit down, among other poses. My personal favorite aspect is the sculpted design of the red racing helmet, and according to the LEGO official website's description, there seems to be a hidden Easter egg within the helmet.
Octan is an energy-related company that frequently appears in the LEGO City series. Octan first debuted in 1992; prior to that, almost all LEGO gas station-related sets featured the Shell logo, a result of collaboration with Shell. After the introduction of this fictional Octan company, energy-themed sets have primarily featured Octan.

▼ For veteran fans of the LEGO City series, seeing this racing minifigure will surely bring to mind the "60053 Race Car" released in 2014! I happen to have this one in my collection, so it looks like I'll definitely be getting the up-scaled racing driver minifigure as well~!
