Following the release of numerous products based on the American comic "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin," American toy manufacturer NECA recently unveiled three new items inspired by the series' sequel, "The Last Ronin - The Lost Years": the "Nightwatcher Donatello," "Nightwatcher Leonardo," and "Nightwatcher Michelangelo" 7-inch action figures. Each figure has a suggested retail price of US$34.96 and is expected to launch in Spring 2025, with an early release currently available at the renowned US retailer Walmart!
"The Last Ronin - The Lost Years" is a sequel published by IDW, continuing the world of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin." It interweaves the story of the Last Ronin's wanderings and his entanglement with the organization "Death Worm" that plagued him, as well as the tale of April and her daughter Casey training a new generation of Ninja Turtles after the Last Ronin's demise.
The Nightwatcher designs for the three turtle brothers in this release are from issue #3 of "The Last Ronin - The Lost Years" comic, depicting April's flashback to when she was nearly harmed by The Purple Dragons after Raphael's fall, and the turtles came to her rescue. The head sculpts and weapons for all three figures completely reuse the designs from NECA's previous "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" flashback series. The main bodies, however, have been modified to match their comic book attire, featuring black outlines to maintain the strong comic book aesthetic of this series. The iconic red and black color scheme from this pivotal comic segment has been faithfully reproduced, showcasing the dark tone of the story's sharp turn after Raphael's demise!

For the outer packaging, Ben Bishop, the comic artist for "The Last Ronin" series, was once again commissioned to personally illustrate the artwork. The packaging features a collector-friendly window box design. While not yet confirmed, it is highly anticipated that the side illustrations will also be designed to connect with other figures in the series, similar to previous releases!
