Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE is commemorating the 30th anniversary of the anime "Future GPX Cyber Formula" by releasing the second product in its transformable action figure series "VARIABLE ACTION VARIATIONS": "Asurada ASURADA V.S.X-R," newly designed by mechanical designer Shōji Kawamori. The suggested retail price is 27,280 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2025!
Following "Vision Asurada," this is the second brand-new futuristic concept car specially designed by Shōji Kawamori for the Reiwa era – "Asurada V.S.X-R." Produced at approximately 1/24 scale, it measures about 19 cm in total length. Continuing the style of the VA series, it features transformation mechanisms and various gimmicks; by replacing parts, you can recreate the extension and retraction of the boosters and the deployment of the tail wings, transforming it from normal mode to SUV mode, and even a convertible mode!
The vehicle's frame also utilizes metal materials, conveying a sense of weight and the charm of the
model. Furthermore, in addition to the overall metallic finish of the body, the blue-green lines are painted with luminous phosphorescent paint, exuding a complete futuristic feel!
