Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest product in its video game "Armored Core" themed alloy action figure series "ARMORED CORE DECOCTION MODELS", the "Rayleonard 03-AALIYAH Supplice Mirror Finish Ver." from "Armored Core 4", scheduled for release in May 2025.
This product is a modified version of the previously released standard edition. The main body features a new "mirror finish" that presents a dazzling black mirror luster akin to sports car paint, highlighting the elegant, streamlined silhouette of the 03-AALIYAH components, and combined with alloy parts, it possesses an even more substantial texture. However, weapons such as the rifle "051ANNR", shoulder anti-missile weapon "FLARE", back grenade cannon "OGOTO", and assault rifle "04-MARVE" retain the same molded colors as the standard edition.
The Supplice boasts a large size with an overall height of approximately 30 cm, crafted from composite materials such as PS, ABS, rubber, and die-cast alloy parts. Under the thorough supervision of the FromSoftware development team, it faithfully recreates the highly realistic corporate AC design, with rich detailed sculpting on its streamlined exterior armor, while also featuring intricate internal structures and articulation mechanisms. The alloy joint parts in the shoulders, elbows, hips, and feet provide highly stable posability, allowing for dynamic combat stances from the game through its extendable articulation mechanisms.
The unit's head contains a built-in LED light module; inserting batteries will illuminate it, reproducing the activated state of the head sensor. Many armor parts throughout the entire unit are designed with intricate articulation mechanisms. In addition to faithfully recreating original settings such as the movable chest PA wave device and the deployment of the back Overed Boost, numerous model-original external armor, wave device, and storage space deployment mechanisms have also been added, further enhancing playability and the realism of the unit.
Armaments including the rifle "051ANNR", shoulder anti-missile weapon "FLARE", back grenade cannon "OGOTO", assault rifle "04-MARVE", and center-of-gravity correction part "03-AALIYAH/LBS1" each feature precise articulation mechanisms. For instance, the FLARE can be deployed and stored, the 04-MARVE's muzzle bottom and grip can extend and connect to the wrist, and all magazine parts are detachable, demonstrating meticulous attention to weapon detail reproduction.
