Following Nintendo's official announcement of the Switch 2, the gaming industry is buzzing with anticipation over the new console's market strategy and game support. Now, even major AAA publishers are signaling significant interest in the next-generation hardware set to be revealed within this fiscal year.
Take-Two Interactive, which previously brought titles like the "Borderlands," "NBA 2K," and "WWE 2K" series to the original Switch, expressed strong commitment during a recent earnings call. CEO Strauss Zelnick stated the company "fully expects" to support the Nintendo Switch 2, signaling that more of Take-Two's portfolio could be heading to the Nintendo platform.

Notably, one of the company's most popular titles, "Grand Theft Auto V"—which has sold over 210 million units—never made its way to the original Switch. While Take-Two has yet to officially announce any specific game plans for the Switch 2, Zelnick's comments have sparked considerable excitement among fans about the potential lineup for the new console.
It's also worth noting that Take-Two has already confirmed its upcoming strategy game, "Civilization VII," will be released on the original Switch, potentially paving the way for the series to appear on the Switch 2 in the future.
EA Signals Similar Intentions
Following Take-Two's lead, fellow gaming giant EA also hinted at bringing its major franchises to the Switch 2 during its own recent earnings call. CEO Andrew Wilson suggested that popular series like "EA Sports FC" and "Madden NFL" could potentially land on the new console. Wilson explained that new consoles represent an opportunity for the company to reach and engage a new player base, noting that many of EA's series have performed "exceptionally well" on Nintendo platforms in the past.

While Wilson stopped short of confirming which specific EA titles would arrive on the Switch 2, he strongly implied that the publisher is considering bringing its sports portfolio to the next-generation hardware.
He also pointed to titles like "The Sims" and the "My Sims Cozy Bundle," highlighting that their Switch versions performed beyond expectations. Wilson revealed that 50% of the players for these games were new to the EA ecosystem, demonstrating the platform's significant potential for audience growth.

"While it's not in our forecast right now, our expectation is that a great new console in the market that allows us to reach new players and new communities... our IP will always benefit from that," Wilson added.
