Following releases like "Chun-Li" and other products, Kaiyodo (KAIYODO), the Japanese model company's popular articulated figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI," has once again announced its latest product from the game "Street Fighter 6": the "Ryu" articulated figure. It is priced at 12,100 JPY (tax included) and is scheduled for release in October 2025.
Ryu, the popular protagonist from the "Street Fighter" game series, is a true martial artist who constantly trains himself to face stronger opponents, thus traveling the world in search of worthy adversaries. He practices the "Ansatsuken" (Assassination Fist) martial arts style, renowned for classic special moves such as Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!
The "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI Street Fighter 6 Ryu" articulated figure is crafted in his classic costume from "Street Fighter 6," standing approximately 16 cm tall. His robust musculature gives him a powerful physique. Despite this, articulation splits in areas such as the chest and shoulder blades allow for natural and dynamic arm movements. The hip joints are composed of ball-and-socket joints and diagonal axes, and additional joints in the calves further enhance flexibility, enabling highly expressive poses and and various combat stances!
Ryu's gi, covering his upper body, is made of real fabric, faithfully reproducing intricate details including the black "Fūrin Kazan" belt, straw sandals, and the torn edges of his attire. In addition to a standard forward-looking expression, the figure comes with a rich assortment of interchangeable face parts, including a bearded face, a right-gazing face, an open-mouthed shouting face, and a left-gazing gritted-teeth face. As an added bonus, it also includes a KO face for "Luke (sold separately)"!
Ryu's special move, "Hadoken," is recreated with large effect parts. By combining the energy sphere accumulated in his hands, the emitted energy projectile, and the surrounding shockwaves, it can depict both the Hadoken and close-range Hadopunch attacks.
Furthermore, pre-orders at the Kaiyodo store include a "closed-eyes face" as a bonus.
