Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy brand is scheduled to release a very interesting anthropomorphic animal-themed capsule toy, "Animal Gamers" (tentative translation, Doubutsu Gamer), in the third week of this coming February! The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per capsule, with a total of five styles to collect.
Highlighting the theme "Animals want to play video games too," GASHAPON has created five animal figures holding controllers, as if in the midst of an intense battle. These include the massive "Panda," the "Cat" seemingly cunningly setting a trap, the honest-looking and thoroughly enjoying the game "Dog," the "Hamster" appearing to be mashing secret commands, and the "Marmot" so excited it's even standing up, looking quite miffed. Their anthropomorphic sitting postures are incredibly vivid, emphasizing the paw pads of the cats and dogs, and the plump body of the hamster. They look super cute even from the back! However, this capsule toy doesn't come with a TV! Toy collectors, please prepare your own.
