This past Monday, HBO hosted a grand premiere for "The White Lotus" Season 3 in its filming location, Thailand. While there, Francesca Orsi, HBO's Head of Drama Series and Films, spoke with Deadline, addressing the network's future plans for several of its flagship series.

Regarding "The White Lotus," Orsi admitted that they are considering bringing back characters from previous seasons for a reunion in future installments. She also suggested that the already renewed fourth season might not be its last, expressing confidence that showrunner Mike White has more than just one season's worth of stories left to tell.

As for "The Last of Us," co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann had previously stated that adapting the second game in the series would likely require three seasons. Orsi confirmed that while there's no complete final plan yet, a fourth season is very possible, though she believes four seasons would be the maximum.

The fifth season of "True Detective," with "Night Country" showrunner Issa López continuing at the helm, Orsi revealed is slated to begin filming in the coming months for a 2027 premiere. The primary setting for the story will shift to Jamaica Bay, New York.

Additionally, Orsi confirmed that "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," the second "Game of Thrones" spin-off set to debut this year, is planned for three seasons, mirroring the original source material's three novellas.

Finally, the long-delayed third season of "Euphoria," which recently officially began production, is widely expected to be its last. Given the narrative progression and the increasingly busy schedules of its now-star-studded cast, many of whom have transitioned into film, it's understandable that future seasons would be difficult to coordinate. Orsi admitted that discussions within HBO have indeed revolved around concluding the series with this upcoming season.
