Hong Kong toy brand threezero, known for its "threezeroX" series of articulated figures that reinterpret characters with strong personal styles in collaboration with renowned designers, recently showcased the in-development prototype of its latest product, "Ultraman Regulos," created in collaboration with Masayuki Goto, a renowned designer from the "Ultraman" series. The release date is yet to be determined.
Ultraman Regulos is a warrior who once fell into a state of suspended animation and drifted to Planet D60 in the Draco constellation. He lost all memories except his own name. He was later taken as a disciple by Master Alude, the grandmaster of "Cosmic Beast Fist." Through continuous training, he learned the Cosmic Beast Fist techniques that his senior disciples excelled at. The emblems on his left and right arms are proof of his mastery of the "Flame Red Dragon Fist" and "Electric White Tiger Fist," respectively. He can combine these two martial arts into the "Red Dragon White Tiger Fist" and unleash powerful special moves such as "Flash Burst Bullet," "White Tiger Red Dragon Bullet," and "Shadowless Red Dragon White Tiger Kick."
"threezeroX Ultraman Regulos" is reinterpreted by Masayuki Goto, who has participated in the character and monster designs for numerous Tsuburaya productions, including "Ultraman" and "Gridman the Hyper Agent." Compared to the refined suit design in the show, this version features more human-like facial features, bulging muscular lines across the entire body, and a chest design integrated with flame motifs. In the original story, after being captured by the Absolutians, he only had handcuffs on his wrists. This version further adds designs such as leg shackles, chains, and bandages.
