Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions, which recently partnered with Apple on "Napoleon," has also been developing several series for the tech giant. While "Prime Target" is currently streaming, the latest project to unveil its first trailer is the upcoming crime drama "Dope Thief."
The official synopsis reveals: Two lifelong friends in Philadelphia pose as DEA agents to rob a small-time drug dealer. What should have been a foolproof heist goes sideways when they pick the wrong target, inadvertently becoming the hunted by a major drug cartel.

Scott serves as an executive producer for the series and personally directed the premiere episode. Peter Craig, known for his co-writing credits on "Gladiator II" and "The Town," takes the helm as showrunner. The story is adapted from Dennis Tafoya's 2009 novel of the same name.
"Dope Thief" features a stellar cast including Wagner Moura, Brian Tyree Henry, Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, Ving Rhames, and Nesta Cooper. The series is slated to premiere on March 14 on Apple TV+.
