BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has officially announced today that the latest product from the highly diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series, the 'HG 1/144 Galluss-J' from 'Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ', is scheduled for release in August 2025.
After the Gryps Conflict, the 'Neo Zeon' led by Haman Karn, in preparation for invading Earth, gathered former Zeon military technicians to develop a new ground combat mobile suit, the 'AMX-101 Galluss-J', based on the 'MS-07 Gouf'. This was also the mobile suit piloted by Neo Zeon officer Mashymre Cello during his first appearance in the series. This unit inherits some of the Gouf's design concepts, featuring built-in launchers in its left arm fingers, and incorporating modern new technologies such as a movable frame and Gundarium alloy. Its characteristic main weapon is the 'Energy Gun', which combines the functions of a beam rifle and a missile launcher.
The 'HG 1/144 Galluss-J' is produced using Bandai's latest color separation and part division technology, extensively reproducing the colors of various parts of the fuselage with multiple molding colors, recreating its broad and heavy armor design and numerous thrusters throughout the body. The hip joint parts can be pulled down to expand the range of motion for the legs.
By replacing parts, the head's mono-eye camera can shift its gaze, the shoulder missile pods can be reproduced in their deployed state, and the wrist can replicate its extended/retracted state for punching attacks. Armaments include the Energy Gun, Beam Saber, and parts to reproduce the launcher built into the left palm.
