Bandai's GASHAPON division is launching a new product based on the classic anime "Sgt. Frog" – the "Sgt. Frog Chibi Kero Sleeping Squad" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per capsule, with an estimated release in late June 2025!
"Sgt. Frog" (ケロロ軍曹) is a monthly manga series created by Japanese manga artist Mine Yoshizaki. In 2004, it was adapted into a TV anime by Sunrise, chronicling the boisterous comedic daily lives of Sgt. Keroro and his squad, who were dispatched from "Keron Star" for reconnaissance but accidentally exposed their presence and ended up living with the Hinata family.
The Sergeant and his comrades are also joining GASHAPON's popular "Sleeping Squad" lineup! This "Sgt. Frog Chibi Kero Sleeping Squad" series features the Keroro Platoon members in their childhood forms, crafted into approximately 3cm character figures. The collection includes five types: Sgt. Keroro, Private Tamama, Corporal Giroro, Sergeant Major Kururu, and Lance Corporal Dororo. Each frog wears a sleeping cap adorned with their respective symbol and corresponding color. The color palette uses low-saturation hues to represent their pre-adult frog stage, and they are all sculpted in an irresistible prone sleeping pose, making them incredibly adorable when displayed!
