The ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E. series, a line of articulated finished robot figures released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam": the "RX-78-2 Gundam ~Earth Color~", slated for release in April 2025. This product will be exclusively sold at official physical stores, TAMASHII NATIONS STORE, and TAMASHII SPOT.
This release of the RX-78-2 Gundam commemorates the 45th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam," featuring a newly designed color scheme inspired by the Earth's land and oceans. Furthermore, the product utilizes various environmentally friendly materials, including an outer box printed with water-based ink, blister packaging made with over half limestone content, and even the model itself employs bio-plastic derived from bio-naphtha and water-based paint.
The overall styling is fundamentally the same as the previously released general version, boasting a refined design reminiscent of animation setting drawings and flexible, natural articulation. It can be posed with various weapon accessories such as the beam rifle, beam saber, and shield. Additionally, the product includes a new circular display base, printed with a 45th-anniversary LOGO that integrates the image of the Gundam series mascot, "Haro."
