Medicos Entertainment, a highly popular toy company in Japan, will release the latest product from its "Super Action Statue" series: the "Super Action Statue DIO Awakened Ver. Third Color" action figure, based on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. The suggested retail price is 9,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2025.
The immensely popular character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, DIO (ディオ・ブランドー), first appeared in the series' Part 1: Phantom Blood. Adopted by the Joestar family, he mercilessly tormented Jonathan, forcibly kissed his first love, killed his beloved dog, and attempted to poison his adoptive father George to seize the family fortune... After discovering the secret of the Stone Mask, he famously declared, "I reject my humanity, JoJo!!" and became an immortal vampire. He made a powerful return in Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, and his influence extends throughout the series up to Part 6, establishing him as a villain of significant importance.
The "Super Action Statue DIO Awakened Ver. Third Color" action figure stands approximately 155mm tall and features a striking orange-toned third color scheme! Otherwise identical to the original version, it faithfully recreates his awakened state from the final battle with Jotaro, complete with furious, spiky hair and heavy makeup with prominent lips! Since the body below the neck is taken from Jonathan Joestar, the detail of the Joestar family's star-shaped birthmark on his back is also accurately reproduced. It comes with two interchangeable facial expressions – a wide, maniacal grin and a confident, wild laugh – along with gruesome blood-splatter effect parts and interchangeable hand gestures, allowing fans to recreate the exhilarating head-explosion scene when he regains his vampire abilities! Also included are accessories such as the onomatopoeic "WRYYYYYYYYYY" text plate.
