Academy Award-winning screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, known for crafting beloved classics like "Adaptation" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," has officially announced his fifth directorial feature, "Later The War." The project has already secured an impressive initial cast, including Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, Patsy Ferran (pictured below), and Tessa Thompson.

"Later The War" is an adaptation of "Debby’s Dream House," a short story featured in Israeli author Iddo Gefen’s 2021 collection, "Jerusalem Beach." The narrative follows a protagonist whose high-paying job involves creating people's first dreams, then subsequently crafting their nightmares. He is forbidden from revealing the nature of his work to anyone, including his partner, Debby. The protagonist also abuses his ability to create nightmares, manipulating Debby's fears to prevent her from leaving him. Despite feeling remorse for the emotional torment he inflicts upon Debby, he rationalizes his actions as necessary to maintain their relationship.
