Nearly seven years after the original, the sequel to "A Simple Favor" is on its way. Helmed once again by "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig, the film is set to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The streamer has just dropped the first official trailer.

While the first film was an adaptation of Darcey Bell's novel of the same name, the book never had a sequel. This new installment is an original story developed for the screen, with a screenplay co-written by Feig and Laeta Kalogridis ("Shutter Island"). Jessica Sharzer, who penned the first movie, also contributed to the script's early development.
