Japan's GOODSMILECOMPANY is launching four new items in its "Nendoroid Plus" rubber character figure series, which aims to retain the cuteness of Nendoroids while offering more accessible prices and adorable designs. These new figures are based on the popular anime "Haikyuu!!" and feature "Shoyo Hinata," "Tobio Kageyama," "Kenma Kozume," and "Tetsuro Kuroo." Each figure has a suggested retail price of 1,300 JPY and is scheduled for release in July 2025!
"Haikyuu!!" is a volleyball-themed anime series originally created by Japanese manga artist Haruichi Furudate and adapted by the Japanese animation studio Production I.G. The story follows the protagonist, Shoyo Hinata, a short but incredibly passionate volleyball player, as he joins the Karasuno High School volleyball team—once a powerhouse—and, together with his teammates, overcomes challenges to take on one strong school after another.
These four new products feature two popular duos, Hinata and Kageyama from Karasuno, and Kuroo and Kenma from Nekoma, as approximately 8cm tall character figures. They are designed in relaxed sitting poses, faithfully recreating the uniform details of both schools' volleyball teams in an adorable proportion. Their expressions and poses perfectly capture each character's personality. Displaying them all together is incredibly charming, and we eagerly anticipate the release of more popular characters in this series!
