American toy manufacturer SUPER7, dedicated to releasing 80s and 90s pop culture-themed toys, has launched four new products in its "ULTIMATES!" action figure series based on the 2003 animated version of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"—the 7-inch action figures of "Shredder," "Casey Jones," "Splinter," and "Foot Ninja." The suggested retail price is US$55 per figure, with an estimated release in December 2025!
The 2003 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animated series, which premiered in 2003, was co-produced by American Mirage Studios and 4Kids Entertainment. It aired for 7 seasons and 156 episodes from 2003 to 2009. Compared to the classic 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animation, the character personalities and overall tone were more serious, attempting to bring the work closer to the original comic books created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.
Following the release of the four turtles in last month's Wave 12, this 13th wave of the ULTIMATES! "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series is also inspired by the 2003 animated version, bringing their good ally Casey Jones, master Splinter, and arch-enemies Shredder and the Foot Ninja to life as new articulated figures! Casey accurately recreates his more muscular and slender physique from this version and includes a wealth of weapons such as baseball bats and hockey sticks to recreate his heroic combat poses! Splinter, on the other hand, faithfully reproduces his unique gray fur color from this version and includes his pre-mutation self and the four turtles, adding to the playability!
A major highlight this time is undoubtedly the main villain, Shredder. His lean physique and sharp armor are meticulously recreated, and the dark purple-gray color scheme gives him a powerful aura. He comes with the Tengu Sword, as well as head sculpts of his two true forms in this version, Ch'rell and Oroku Saki, allowing for the recreation of his various appearances in the show! The Foot Ninja figures include a rich array of weapon accessories such as katanas and bo staffs. Multiple Foot Ninja figures can be purchased to play alongside Shredder and the Ninja Turtles, recreating battle scenes from the series!
