Renowned toy brand Mattel has launched a new product based on the upcoming video game adaptation film "A Minecraft Movie" – the "Steve" 12-inch posable figure, with a suggested retail price of US$14.99, expected to be released in March 2025!
"Minecraft" is a sandbox game developed by Mojang Studios, where players can choose from various modes and enjoy immense freedom, with many players developing even greater gameplay fun through various mods. The live-action film adaptation, "A Minecraft Movie," produced by Legendary Pictures, sparked polarized discussions after its teaser trailer was released last September. Recently, the final trailer was officially unveiled, inviting all fans to explore it in cinemas this April!
This 12-inch posable Steve figure brings to life the game's default character, Steve, as portrayed by actor Jack Black. At approximately 30 cm tall, the figure sculpts Jack Black's facial features and his round belly, faithfully recreating Steve's blue shirt and jeans outfit seen in the movie trailer. It features simple articulation in the head, arms, and hips, and comes with an iron sword accessory for play! The product image of the little girl happily playing with Jack Black and a Creeper looks wonderfully incongruous!
