The 'SYNERGENEX' series, a cross-collaboration toy line launched by T-SPARK, the high-end toy brand under Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY, has announced that the latest collaborative product between 'ZOIDS' and the popular video game 'Monster Hunter', "Mizutsune × Gatling Fox (tentative name)", will be officially unveiled on March 6, 2025.
The latest installment in the series, 'Monster Hunter Wilds', officially launched on February 28, and it's safe to say that both new and veteran hunters have spent a fulfilling weekend exploring its new, ecologically integrated wilderness. While many of the large monsters currently in the game are new faces making their debut in 'Wilds', familiar classic monsters are also set to return in the future. In the recently revealed free additional content information, it was announced that the highly popular Leviathan monster, "Mizutsune", is expected to make its return in Spring 2025, which is highly anticipated.
This time, Mizutsune is not only reappearing in the game, but as part of the 'Monster Hunter' 20th Anniversary project, following "Magnamalo × Liger Zero" and "Rathalos x Sonic Bird", a new installment is confirmed to feature the Zoid "Gatling Fox" incorporating Mizutsune's imagery and color scheme. The currently released product images show that the overall colors faithfully reproduce Mizutsune's elegant pinkish-purple hues, and new parts are used to recreate the three pairs of fins on its head.
