Toy People × RJ AJie Take You on a Tour of the "Mercari City Treasure Hunt Tour"! Experience the Treasure Hunting Challenge at Japan's Largest Online Marketplace, Mercari!

Hey, Toy People! Have you spotted a massive Mercari advertising truck on the streets lately?! Today, our Toy Exploration Team is here to join the "Mercari City Treasure Hunt Tour" event, hosted by Japan's largest online marketplace, Mercari! And we're not alone—we're here at the event venue in Syntrend with the super popular RJ AJie, ready to have some serious fun.

Treasure-hunting Toy People are surely no strangers to Mercari, Japan's largest online marketplace. From its core offerings of toys and models, video game consoles, anime and manga merchandise, and idol goods, to apparel and electronics, its selection is incredibly comprehensive. This "Mercari City Treasure Hunt Tour" event allows Toy People to not only shop from their computers but also to step outside for a more engaging treasure-hunting experience. In addition to the advertising truck hitting the road for a 20-day tour of Taipei and New Taipei City in March, there will also be fun treasure-hunting challenge games held on weekends in locations like Ximending, Syntrend, and the Xinyi District.

Today, we're at the three-day event (3/14-3/16) held at Syntrend in Taipei. The other two weekend events were at The Red House in Ximending last week (3/7-3/9) and will be at Xinyi ATT next week (3/21-3/23). The Mercari City Treasure Hunt Tour is divided into three main areas: "Mercari Our Room," "Sandbox Treasure Hunt Battle!," and "Hanafuda Treasure Hunt." The two treasure hunt areas even feature a lively "Mercari Treasure Hunt Challenge" that feels just like a bustling Japanese festival. So, let's join AJie and give it a try!

▼ Whoa, AJie! That shovel is for digging for treasure!

● Mercari Our Room
A room filled with toys, celebrity merchandise, video games, manga, and other nostalgic items—this is basically the room of my dreams!

▼ In "Mercari Our Room," you can see that all the toy models, game consoles, games, dolls, and celebrity posters were purchased from Mercari! Using Mercari to hunt for treasures while personalizing your space is surely one of the greatest joys for any Toy Person.

● Sandbox Treasure Hunt Battle!
An exciting and memory-testing challenge! A 20-second matching game, START!!

▼ The red Gashapon capsules contain great items from Mercari, while the blue ones contain their prices. Do your best to match three pairs within the time limit!

● Hanafuda Treasure Hunt
It's time to test your appraisal skills! Toy People, find the correct prices for these awesome items! It's another matching game, but this one is also a major test of memory.

▼ Things got out of hand again in a flash! Your DJ AJie is now online!

Not only is the "Mercari Our Room" meticulously decorated, but the two treasure hunt activities are so much fun! Just visit the "Mercari Treasure Hunt Tour" event site between March 8th and March 23rd and register to immediately experience the treasure hunt games (limited to one try per person). Additionally, there's a special Mercari game on-site; succeed in the challenge, and you get one chance at the "Fukubiki" lucky draw, with a prize for everyone!

▼ The designs are so cute (灬ºωº灬)

As many of you Toy People may know, AJie is also a passionate toy collector at heart! Taking advantage of this fun day together, we decided to ask him if he's bought any new toys recently or has his eye on anything.

Toy People:
AJie, have you gotten any new toys recently? Or have you found something you're excited about and are ready to buy?

AJie: I've been wanting the Chiikawa Ramen Ichiban Kuji recently, the one where the A Prize is a noodle timer.

Toy People:
Have you ever done anything crazy to buy a toy?

AJie: I used to buy toys from Mercari a lot, and I would specifically book a hotel in Japan just to receive the packages. Back then, Mercari hadn't launched in Taiwan, so I had to order from the Japanese site. I would even extend my hotel stay just in case the packages didn't arrive on time.
(That's our AJie! A true veteran Mercari user!)

Toy People: If you had to live on a deserted island and could only bring one toy, what would it be?

AJie: A deserted island would definitely be boring. I'm thinking of a water ring toss game. It feels like something I could enjoy slowly and play for a very long time.

I think the water ring toss game is super cute too! After getting used to video games with stunning graphics, it's nice to occasionally travel back to childhood and enjoy a nostalgic, old-school game. Do you also like the Chiikawa Ichiban Kuji and the ring toss game AJie mentioned? Head over to Mercari and start your treasure hunt now!

As a heavy Mercari user myself, it turns out I was never alone! Besides Japan, Taiwan is home to Mercari's second-largest user base globally. And Mercari's newly launched "Mercari Global Shipping" can save Toy People who love buying manga from Japan nearly 15% on shipping fees! Doesn't that just make us want to buy even more!

For Toy People who can't make it to Taipei to join the fun, don't leave just yet! During the "Mercari City Treasure Hunt Tour" event period (3/8-3/23), Mercari is also running a super-value online site-wide limited-time event, the "Treasure Hunt Support Festival"! If you're a seasoned treasure hunter like me, you can enjoy discounts starting from 20% off site-wide. New members get an additional 50% off. Oh no, I'm off to find my magic little card!
