Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest product in its beautiful girl plastic model kit series, 'ARCANADEA,' which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements: 'Lumiere ReACT-iF,' scheduled for release in August 2025.
Designed by illustrator necömi, 'Lumiere' is a light-attribute angelic DEARS. Normally gentle, kind, optimistic, and cheerful, she speaks faster and shows a shy side when encountering things she likes. As an apprentice angel, she's a bit clumsy at controlling her magic, and while she remembers her mission to retrieve Arcana crystals, she can't quite recall her past memories.
This new 'ReACT-iF' sub-series is themed around an alternate timeline, dressing DEARS from the fantasy world in fashionable, real-world human attire. The first release, 'Lumiere,' sheds her previous sacred and pure angelic image, appearing without wings just like an ordinary human, and features an elegant and cute one-piece dress sculpt created with new parts.
The parts utilize multiple molding colors to faithfully reproduce the costume colors supervised by necömi, and intricate relief sculpting recreates the delicate floral embroidery on the back, skirt hem, and handbag. The product includes four pre-painted face parts for replacement: "Winking Face," "Puzzled Face," "Chewing Face," and "Heart-Fluttering Face." Additionally, there is one clear molded long skirt and three styles of short skirt parts to choose from.
For articulation, the body also features double-jointed limb parts, pull-out knee joints, and other designs, providing flexible posability and recreating the beautiful leg curves drawn by necömi. With a total of 11 pairs of interchangeable hand parts, including "Heart Hands" and "Peace Sign Hands," you can enjoy a wide variety of situational poses.
This kit can also be linked with the original "Lumiere." In addition to exchanging and assembling angelic wings and limb parts for diverse styling, accessories also include 11 pairs of white molded PVC hand parts and replacement waist decoration parts to recreate sitting poses, allowing for even more varied styling options for the original version.
